Avanti “Arts Al Fresco”
In Support of Emerging Artists
The Avanti “Arts Al Fresco” year-round series provides a springboard to emerging local artists and celebrates the artistic soul and heartbeat of Dallas’ Uptown neighborhood. The “Arts Al Fresco” initiative gives exposure to Dallas’ up-and-coming artists by providing them with a high traffic venue to showcase their work. Since April 2018, the white walls of our patio have become the exhibition space to a select group of local artists, allowing them to make their creative debuts in the vibrant Dallas Uptown scene. Every two months a new artist is featured, giving artists who are beginning their creative journey a chance to exhibit and the opportunity to share their inspiration and vision of the world.

A graduate of The School of Visual Arts at University of North Texas, Nell Potasznik was chosen to participate in an artist exchange program with luxury fashion house Hermès of Paris. In 2016, she founded an arts based collaborative, The York Street Project in South Dallas. Its mission is to help support local artists who not have access to affordable studio space.
“I am very interested in investigating the body’s functions with various materials. The lines and shapes that form from circulating in the body are a prevailing theme in my work. My work deals with the human body specifically the female image. The human body, whether portrayed healthy or ailing, relates to the images found in my work.”
